Clothing
We don’t have a compulsory uniform, but t-shirts and sweatshirts with our logo on can be purchased through myclothing.com. Although we do our best to protect children’s clothes, it is almost inevitable that they will get paint or glue on them. For this reason, we suggest that children do not wear their best outfits. We think of it as the children wearing their work clothes. We recommend things like jogging trousers and shoes that are easy to get on and off. We find very tight trousers and dungarees can be difficult for the children – especially with toileting.

Password
We ask parents to provide us with a password when their child starts at Pre-school. The password is set up for when a person that the staff have not yet met needs to collect the child. They can give us the password and we can let the child go with them. Without this password we would be unable to allow the child to go. We would have to consider them as someone we don’t know. We do not let children go with anyone under the age of 16 years.

Key Person
Every child will be allocated a key person. This member of staff will work with the parents and carers to settle their child, plan activities for them. They will also keep a journal recording the child’s time with us which they will share with parents.

Healthy Eating
We promote healthy living at Pre-school. One of the ways we do this is with our snack time. We are a nut free school due to allergies! We ask parents to provide fruit for their child’s morning snack.
